Washi Christmas Card Sunny Challenges Entry

Hi all, for this fortnights challenge from Sunny Challenges & Creations http://sunnychallenges.blogspot.com.au/we had to create a card using Stampin' Up!'s Washi tape.  Washi tape is everywhere at the moment I know someone who decorated their old style typewriter with it and it looks fantastic!  It has so many different uses and is really easy to apply it sticks to everything, I just love it.  I haven't used the Christmas Washi tape yet so decided to do a Christmas Card.  I covered some Whisper White cardstock with Washi tape and then cut out the letters with our Typeset Alphabet Bigz die and the snow flake is from the Festive Flurry Framelits.  I also put two strips on the bottom of the card front and put a strip of Old Olive 1/8" Taffeta ribbon in between.  I adhered the snow flake with a Stampin' Dimensional and used some Dazzling Details in Cherry Cobbler and coated the inside of two Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons and adhered those with some Glue Dots.  The stamp is from the new seasonal catalogue from the Joy to the World stamp set.  Because I already had the Joy in the big letters I only inked 'to the world' in Cherry Cobbler and used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to make sure I got it straight.  Then I adhered a Frosted Finishes Embellishments in the centre of the 'O' with Glue Dots.  I stuck the card front onto a piece of Old Olive patterned paper from the Season of Style DSP which has some really gorgeous patterns in it.  Hope you like this card as much as I enjoyed making it.

Have a great week
