Santa's List
I have been wanting to do a card with this gorgeous stamp set for ages but kept getting distracted. When I did get around to it I decided that I wanted it to look 'old fashioned' as my daughter called it when I showed her. I stamped Santa on Whisper White with Early Espresso ink the got out my trusty aqua painter(but I don't fill it with water I just use it as a paint brush) and I wet it just a little to shade around Santa without any ink just pulling a little ink away from image I had just stamped. I also did that with the beard and the white parts of his suit and the Santa's list. I used Cherry Cobbler ink to colour his suit again with the aqua painter and just kept adding ink until I got the shade I was looking for and added some Blushing Bride to his skin. I randomly stamped the spots from the Gorgeous Grunge set in Sahara Sand around the outside of Santa and then sponged around the edges of the cardstock in Sahara Sand. The Ho Ho Ho is from the Naughty and Nice This and That Rotary Stamp and the Seasons Greetings is from the carry over set More Merry Messages. I then mounted it on Early Espresso cardstock which I then adhered to Season of Style DSP. I used our wonderful Gift Bow Bigz Die with some more of the Season of Style DSP and adhered a Cherry Cobbler button in the middle with some linen thread threaded through it. The card base is
Early Espresso and I adhered a piece of Whisper White cardstock inside and stamped some more spots from the Gorgeous Grunge set. The envelope was made using our new Envelope Punch Board which I just love. Here is a close up of Santa.
Hope you enjoy him and that you are on Santa's Nice list this year.
Cheers Teena
