Hi all welcome to April's Crazy Crafter's Masculine Theme Blog Hop. If you are following the Blog Hop you would have come from the awesomely talented Tamie Holt.at Tamie Luvs Craft 2 This month is a masculine theme which I always have trouble with because I feel the need to add pretty things to a card which males in my experience do not seem to like lol.
For this card I chose my favourite go to masculine stamp set Wetlands. I just love this set it is so easy to use and very versatile. For this card I chose a technique I have never tried before but after trying it once I have discovered that I just love love love it and will be using it more ofter.
I used one of our clear blocks(E) that you use for stamping with the clear set stamps and scribbled over it with Coastal Cabana, Smoky Slate and Baked Brown Sugar Stampin' Write Markers then spritzed a bit of water over it then stamped it on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock.
Then I masked the edges and stamped the Wetlands grass stamp along the bottom in Old Olive over the Baked Brown Sugar part, then stamped the little birds over the Smoky Slate part, and finally stamped the sentiment from Bring On The Cake stamp set over the Coastal Cabana part using the Stamp-a-ma-jig.
The corners are rounded with our Corner Punch and mounted it on a Smoky Slate back ground then used a button from the Designer Naturals Button and threaded Linen Thread through it and wrapped it around twice before I mounted that onto an Early Espresso Card.
I hope you are enjoying this month's Blog Hop. The next stop on the Blog Hop is the wonderful Sue Wdowik.
